SOLVING SOME OF THE WORLD’S MOST CHALLENGING HEALTH PROBLEMS

Open Seventeen is a prize-backed challenge to reward and invest in students developing innovative and implementable projects that leverage OPEN DATA and CROWDSOURCING to tackle the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) . This spring, the challenge targets SDG #3: Healthy Lives and Well-Being for All at All Ages.

The Challange is co-organized by the Citizen Science Centre Zurich (University of Zurich and ETH Zurich), the Citizen Cyberlab at University of Geneva, and the Governance Lab at New York University. It is run in collaboration with Be He@lthy, Be Mobile, a joint program between the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and it is partially supported by the Geneva-Tsinghua Initiative via the United Labs for the Global Goals Network.
