Martin Brocklehurst (European Citizen Science Association)
ETH Zürich, Main Building, Room HG E 42, Rämistrasse 101, 8092 Zürich (South Wing of Ground floor, Corner Rämistrasse/Karl-Schmid Strasse)
In Europe we face growing environmental challenges. Climate change, Biodiversity Loss, Deteriorating air quality and threats from new diseases and invasive species migrating into Europe due to climate change. Yet the scale of the emergency is barely understood by ordinary people who carry on as if nothing is wrong. Today’s speaker Martin Brocklehurst will argue that citizen science, implemented at European Scale, can be the catalyst for change and support the EU to deliver its policy objectives.
